New South Wales is the most populous, although not the biggest Australian State. It was the first area of Australia to be settled by Europeans and is home to the famous Sydney Harbour as well as many other major rural and industrial centres. Outside the cities, it features farming land and Australia's highest mountains. There are snowfields in the far south, around the ACT.
Average daytime temperature (celsius) in Sydney: Winter:15; Summer:21
