Priority sectors:

Category 1: Public Health (including HIV/AIDS), Agriculture (including fisheries), Education, Water and Sanitation, Environmental Management, Trade and aspects of public administration related to these fields.

IELTS: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit the English IELTS test on Saturday 10 May 2008. Selected candidates must be available on this day. Only candidates with a minimum of 5.5 in the test will be considered for the second selection process. Candidates selected that require further English language training (ELT) (ie those having achieved less than 6.5 in the IELTS test) and are based in Maputo, will be required to attend a special ELT course at the British Council from June to November. Failure to enrol or poor attendance during the course may lead to withdrawal of the scholarship. Other ELT options will be negotiated for provincial-based candidates.

Other requirements: Achieved a minimum academic result of 65% in a Licenciatura degree or an international four year university degree recognised by the Ministry of Education in Mozambique (eg BA(Hons); A minimum of 2 years' post-graduation work experience, preferably five, in a relevant field.
