Number of scholarships available for 2009 intake : 12


Category:

Public - The public category of scholarships is intended to strengthen public sector capacity in Africa. Public sector applicants are employees from various government departments and para-statals. Applications must be nominated and endorsed by the relevant nominating authority in each of the African countries.

Eligible Tanzanian Nationals are invited to foward the following documents for consideration:

  • A completed Expression of Interest (click here)
  • A current cirriculum vitae
  • Certified copies of university degree(s) and transcripts
  • A one-page summary of the reasons for wishing to undertake postgraduate training in Australia and how this training will benefit Tanzania.

Failure to complete the application form and submit all documentation requested will lead to automatic disqualification. No undergraduate or PhD nominations will be considered.

IELTS:

It is preferred that applicants have a level of English language competency as indicated by an overall band 6.5 in the IELTS. Alternatively, candidates may present an official letter from the institution where they last studied, indicating that the medium of instruction was English.

Other requirements:

Applicants must have a minimum of two years' work experience, preferably five, and possess undergraduate qualifications at a minimum of upper second class honours level (with a minimum average academic mark of 65 per cent).
