All the candidates from one of the eligible countries, Mozambique, have to sit for a language proficiency test. Language proficiency is tested through the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), an internationally recognized and highly dependable, practical English language assessment used by those seeking international education.

For the other countries applicants are required to submit a letter from their previous institution stating that English was the medium of instruction for their earlier studies. Should tuition have been in a language other than English the candidate may be required to sit the IELTS.
